Affiliate & advertising disclosure

Last updated: April 2026

We believe in being upfront about how StudyFinland makes money, in the spirit of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) endorsement guidelines and similar standards elsewhere. Here it is, plainly.

How we earn

  • Agency partnerships. We partner with vetted study-abroad agencies and student services. If you opt in, we may introduce you to a relevant partner who can help with your application, and we may receive a fee for that introduction.
  • Affiliate links. Some links on this site — to things like student insurance, language tests, accommodation, or money transfer services — are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up or buy, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
  • Advertising. We display ads (including via Google AdSense). Advertisers pay for placement, not for favourable coverage.

Our promise

Money never buys a recommendation. We only suggest universities, programs, tools, and services we genuinely believe are useful to international students, and we'd recommend the same things whether or not we earned anything. Where a relationship could create a conflict, we tell you. The free guide stays free, and you're never required to use a partner to get the full value of this site.
